Pricing

Every number on this page has a cost driver next to it.

Slate's costs are a model call per screened candidate, a vendor charge per enriched contact, and compute per company in an M&A universe. The plans are shaped like those costs, so you can tell what you are paying for.

These prices are placeholders. They are reasoned from the cost drivers below and will be replaced with measured unit costs from the product's own spend tracking before Slate is sold self-serve. If you are talking to us now, you are talking about the real number.

Slate Recruiting

Sourcing, screening and the deciding board

$149 per month, Solo

  • One seat. Your own LinkedIn Recruiter seat, our pacing.
  • 300 screened candidates included each month.
  • Every playbook, including life sciences.
  • The Collector for macOS, the console, and the deciding board.

Driver: screening is one model call per candidate, so the included allowance is the thing that scales, not the seat. Overage is $0.40 per screened candidate.

Slate M&A Early access

Deal signals for people who sell into transactions

$299 per month

  • A universe of up to 25,000 companies.
  • Filings and press sources, each signal stored with its URL.
  • 200 enriched contacts included each month.
  • Up to four seats, shared with a Recruiting workspace or standalone.

Driver: ingestion costs compute per company in the universe and per document fetched, so universe size is the meter. Overage is $0.01 per additional company per month. Early access reflects two free sources and no licensed news feed yet.

Seats are an attribute of your workspace, not a limit compiled into the product: a plan sets the number. Four is where the table stops today because four is the account shape Slate is built and tested for. More than four is a conversation, not a hidden “contact sales” button — tell us what you need and we will say yes or no.

Usage

Metered items are billed at cost plus a stated margin.

Screening and enrichment are things Slate buys from somebody else and passes on. Rather than hide that in a plan price, here is the cost, the margin, and what you pay.

Metered usage
Item What it costs us Margin You pay Why
Screened candidate One model call, priced per model and tracked per role stated per plan $0.40 Solo, $0.35 Team Thinking tokens bill at the output rate, so a batch costs more than its visible reply. Slate records the real figure per batch and totals it per run.
Enriched contact Vendor charge per contact, from the provider you select provider cost + margin you set the ceiling The provider bills per contact, so this can never be unlimited. You set a monthly ceiling and Slate stops at it.
Company in an M&A universe Compute per company and per document fetched stated per plan $0.01 per company per month above 25,000 Ingestion work scales with universe size, so the meter is universe size rather than signals found.
LinkedIn profile view — — not sold Views belong to your own Recruiter seat and its daily limit. Slate sells the pacing and the protection, not the views, and could not sell them if it wanted to.

Why these numbers

$149 sits below a Recruiter Lite seat so the pair reads the way it is meant to: the seat plus the judgment. It covers the screening allowance at current model prices with margin, and it does not pretend the seat is included.

$399 is priced against a sourcer's hours, not against a per-seat table. A two-to-four person shop is buying back the afternoon somebody spends reading profiles. The per-candidate rate drops slightly because the fixed cost is already covered.

Enrichment is never bundled unlimited, because a provider bills per contact and an unlimited bundle would either be a lie or a loss. You set the ceiling and see the meter.

$299 for M&A is an early-access price against two free sources with manual evidence entry available and no licensed news feed. It is low because the product is young, and it will move when the sources do.

There is no annual plan, because there is no reason to offer one yet. There is no “most popular” badge, because there is no most popular plan yet.

The team and access screen: each member with their workspace role and their separate Recruiting and M&A grants, the seat meter reading three of four, a pending invitation that is holding the fourth, and the sentence saying the next person needs another seat on the plan.
Seats and product grants inside the product. A pending invitation holds a seat, and the last seat says so before you spend it. Captured against scratch data.

Questions

What the meters actually count.

What counts as a screened candidate?

One person, judged once against one role, by a model call that produced a verdict. Re-running screening for the same person against the same role after you change the role's requirements counts again, because it is another model call. A person who is collected but never screened does not count, and a person on two roles is two screened candidates.

What counts as an enriched contact?

One request to the provider for one person that returned at least one verified value. A request that comes back empty is not billed to you. Contacts already in your workspace are never re-enriched without you asking.

Do I need my own LinkedIn Recruiter seat?

Yes. Slate collects through your session, on your machine, against your seat's daily limit. There are no Slate-operated LinkedIn accounts, so there is nothing to collect through if you do not have a seat.

What do I need to run the Collector?

A Mac. The Slate Collector is a macOS app because it drives a real signed-in Chrome profile. The rest of Slate is a website and works anywhere.

What happens when I hit my daily view limit?

Collection stops and says so. The limit is LinkedIn's and belongs to your seat; Slate paces against it and will not spend past it. The meter is visible before and during a run.

Can I buy M&A without Recruiting?

Yes. They are separate product grants on one workspace, and a member can hold either, both, or neither.
